Jaime & Nick —

In Rūmā Whā we have been inquiring into the mysterious life of New Zealand's own Jean Batten.  She left us a briefcase full of problems to solve.

We have been working on our collaborative skills to crack codes and solve puzzles to find her missing medal.  We also ran a scientific investigation about paper planes.  We all came up with questions we wanted to investigate.  Lots of us investigated whether the size of the paper influenced how far it travelled.  We thought about how we could make our tests fair and consistent and had to apply measurement knowledge from Maths.

We have all enjoyed making paper planes for learning, not just to annoy our teachers!
