On Tuesday 23rd October Kaurilands sent our first ever team to the Auckland Primary and Intermediate Snowsports Championships at Snowplanet.  It was a wonderfully fun day and we had some great results competing against 15 other schools and around 160 children.

Special congratulations to Kara  from Rūma Iwa who won a bronze medal for girls snowboarding.

Results:

Girls Snowboarding team = 2nd place

Boys Snowboarding team = 4th place

Girls Ski team = 5th place

Boys Ski team = 12th place

 Jacky - Rūma Rima - 4th in the Y1-4 Snowboard Grand Slalom and 6th in the Y1-4 Snowboard Slopestyle

Jordan - Rūma Toru - 4th in the Y5-6 Snowboard Slopestyle and 5th in the Y5-6 Snowboard Grand Slalom

Teaan - Rūma Rima - 5th in the Years 1-4 Snowboard Grand Slalom and 5th in the Y1-4 Snowboard Slopestyle

Connor - Rūma Whitu - 6th in the Years 1-4 Snowboard Grand Slalom and 7th in the Y1-4 Snowboard Slopestyle

Beau - Rūma Waru - 7th in the boys Y1-4 Ski Slopestyle

Alexis - Rūma Rua - 7th in the girls Y5-6 Ski Slopestyle 

Lauren - Rūma Rua  - 9th in the girls Y5-6 Ski Slopestyle
