Room 12 News

Catriona —

Room 12 really enjoyed being in the bush this Autumn. We had many joyful moments listening, looking and feeling what this season has to share with us around the school. Our learning goal was to create a Haiku Poem which is a Japanese unrhymed poetic form consisting of 17 syllables arranged in three lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables. We collated all of our ideas and then added adjectives, similes and metaphors to make our writing more interesting. For example 'fiery lipstick red leaves'. The tricky part was adding up all the syllables. Here's some of our favourites.
