A warm welcome back to Term 3! Welcome in particular to all our New Entrants who have joined Rooms 18 and 11 and our International Students from Japan and China. These students are absolutely delightful and we are enjoying having them in our classes for a few weeks.
Term 3 is well underway with all things Olympics following our Olympathon launch at assembly last Friday. We all really enjoyed the performances by the Kaurilands staff synchronised swimming team and equestrian team to get us excited about the Olympics. If you haven't already seen the videos, please see below - they are quite something! 😂😂 We are very excited about our own Kaurilands Olympics coming up on Friday 16th August. We hope many of you will be able to join us. Details to follow.
Our Student Conferences on Wednesday 7th and Thursday 8th next week are a great opportunity to have a 15 minute discussion with your child's teacher around achievement, wellbeing, progress and information relevant to your child for the first half of the year. We would love to see every family. If you can't make one of these afternoon/evening slots please make a separate time directly with your child's teacher. Children are welcome to accompany you, but this is entirely your choice. A reminder the bookings for the Student Conferences close on Tuesday afternoon at 3pm.
If you would like to meet with any of the senior leaders during the conferences, please send us an email and we will organise a time with you.
I'm really looking forward to the quiz night coming up later in the term - Saturday 14th September! See the post below from Te Whānau Āwhina with the details. This is a night not to be missed!
