Principal's Message

Jo Augustine —

Kia ora e te whānau

It has been a pretty unusual time at school this week with significant numbers of children and staff away.  This is what we expected would happen and what was predicted.  I am anticipating these high numbers will continue over the next few weeks.  Thanks to you all for your efforts in keeping in touch with us and letting us know what is happening in your households.  Please keep on contacting us with this information, it really helps us so much.

First and foremost our priority is the well-being of our children, so if they are feeling anxious or unhappy in any way do please communicate this to your teachers (best way at the moment is email) and we will do whatever we can to assist.

With the increase of cases in our community we would really appreciate you dropping your children at the gates rather than coming on site unless you are bringing your child for a school visit or settling in a child who is brand new to the school.  Thank you for your support with this.

We are so happy that school is able to remain open and while some classes are quite small, our staff are loving getting to know their new children.  I am extremely proud of all our children who, despite everything, are very settled at school.  Great job parents!

I hope you can all have a well deserved rest this weekend.
