In Term 3, we were very lucky to start a collaboration with the Middle School West Auckland Pasifika students and coaches. Each week an inspiring group of students would come to Kaurilands to work with our Year 5 and Year 6 Pasifika group. This collaboration was a great success and provided our children with a space to celebrate their cultures.

This week, the two schools worked together on a performance to showcase different dance, song and language from a range of Pacific nations. The passion, pride and love for their cultures really shone through. Everyone involved in the whole school celebration thoroughly enjoyed it.

A big thank you to Mike Fenwick and the team of student coaches and tutors from Middle School West Auckland - without these amazing leaders we would not have been able to offer a programme like this at our school. 

We look forward to working with MSWA in 2023.
