What an amazing year we have had in Ropu Whitu!

Term One started with a bang! In Week Two we had the highlight of Year 6 camp which was a great bonding and challenging experience for all. The Year 5’s completed a challenge week that was designed to test their collaboration skills whilst having fun.

Throughout Term two we focused on our Inquiry topic of the brain where we looked at parts of and functions of the brain. Our biggest interest was around optical illusions and some of us created our own!

At the end of Term Three we farewelled our lovely Rosie who left to have her baby, Oakley (whom we absolutely adore!) and welcomed the wonderful Jenna to our space.

Term Four was filled with fun adventures and trips. We had a differentiated trips day with five options to choose from! The Year 6’s had a day at Rainbow’s End and we all ended the year with a wonderful day at Parakai Pools. All 55 of our beautiful children have been a pleasure to have in our space. They have all matured into exceptional role models who we are all very proud of! We wish the Year 6’s the best for Intermediate and the Year 5’s the best in their final year at Kaurilands School. How lucky are we to have worked with such amazing and inspiring tamariki?!
