News from Room 25

Kirsten Pickett —

Room 25 enjoyed learning about penguins for Sea Week. We did some information writing about them and also created our penguin collage artwork.

"Penguins are cute birds that fly and have webbed feet. They have black backs and white bellies. Penguins also have flippers, beaks and eyes. Penguins live in Antarctica and they live in colonies. They eat fish, shrimp and krill. Their predators are orcas, seals and sharks. Penguins are friendly and can not harm you. Mum penguins dive down to catch some food for their chicks and themselves. Dad penguins stay with the egg and chicks. Penguins can slide on their bellies down slopes. There are lots of different penguins. They are great divers and swimmers."
