International Food Fair

Te Whānau Āwhina —

Kaurilands School Friday 15 November 2019, 5.00-8.00pm

Come along to our (licensed) inaugural International Food Fair and enjoy our community coming together for an evening of food and fun!

No BYO please, this will be strictly enforced.

Our fantastic Kapahaka will open the evening with one of their amazing performances and you will be able to enjoy a taste of many countries; have some fun with games and events for children and try your luck with raffles. Entertainment, including Pacific Elvis and many other talented performers from our community will be performing.
Some important information and requests:

Grocery items
We are now accepting donations of non-perishable items for our grocery hamper raffles. Please drop into the office any tins, olive oil, chocolate, biscuits and the like. Lets make these hampers awesome!

Ice Cream containers
We would appreciate any clean ice-cream containers with lids that fit.

Jolly Jars
This is a Kaurilands School tradition! More information will be coming, please save empty jars (with lids if at all possible) – at home – we will let you know when we would like the filled jars to be dropped off.

Cashless
As much as possible, we are hoping to make our Food Fair cashless. To help with this, we have Food Fair tickets (value $20) for sale on Kindo until Tuesday 12 November. Kindo orders will be distributed to your childs’ class on Wednesday 13 November. Food Fair tickets are also available through the office and on the night. Simply use your ticket at various stalls around the Food Fair instead of cash. The ticket can be redeemed at all stations on the evening of the Food Fair.
Easy!!
Cash will be accepted at the bar, plant stall and raffle ticket purchases.
For safety reasons we are trying to reduce cash handling.
Please buy multiple tickets as required.
Eftpos (no credit) will be available on the night.

Kaitiakitanga
We have organised to have recyclable waste stations throughout the school on the night. We are encouraging our community to bring their own plate and utensils in an effort to reduce waste. A washing up station will be set up for your use.

Friendly reminder when attending events at school.
A small number of car parks are available opposite the school in the Council owned carpark. These spaces are clearly marked, including yellow lines, which indicate no parking or stopping at any time . Please be considerate when parking. Parking spaces outside the shops on the corner of Kaurilands and Atkinson Roads should be left clear for their customers. Please take note of parking restrictions shown on signs. Your consideration is greatly appreciated.
The school carpark will be closed for the evening.

We look forward to coming together as a community for an evening of fun and food.

Thanks for your support.
