Rūma Rima used the beautiful picture book 'Lessons of an LAC' by Lynn Jenkins as a springboard for a story adventure. 

We helped the two characters Loppy and Curly resolve the challenges they faced and create a balanced and happy place to live. 

We explored the theme of friendship, power sharing and the challenges that arise when a group of people working together have different views. This learning really got us thinking about the connections between the story and the start of the school year. 

We've realised that there is strength in our uniqueness and by working together we will thrive in Year 5.
