SCHOOL CLUSTERS CHESS TOURNAMENT

With qualification for the regional tournament at stake, things went very well for our Kaurilands School team at the recent Titirangi Cluster Chess Tournament for Primary Schools

Nine students from Kaurilands School took a day off school recently to participate in the school clusters chess tournament where school vs school. With regional qualifications at stake, our team results were very positive with 4 of our players achieving best individual results.  The final results were:

1. Kaurilands: 24.5 points

2. Laingholm: 17 points

3. Fruitvale: 17 points

The team is very much looking forward to the Regional tournament at the end of Term 2.

Chess Club is on daily in the school Hall during the lunch break:
