Room 14 News

Stacey —

In Week 1 Rūma 14 were surprised to find an envelope waiting for us after lunch one day.  It was a letter from Jack, of beanstalk fame, who’d heard we were growing beanstalks in class after reading about his adventures.  He gave us five different types of seeds to grow and we had to guess which plant the seeds would yield.  We wrote Jack letters to thank him and tell him what we know about planting and growing.  As part of our Planting and Growing Inquiry we have also sketched flowers (irises, gerberas and tulips), made a giant floral mural from egg cartons and yesterday we put some cress seeds in cotton wool to test whether plants need soil to grow.
