Rūma 14 have been studying the concept of Kaitiakitanga for our Inquiry this term. We've enjoyed exploring the ngāhere (bush) at our kura (school) with a scavenger hunt and hut-making.  We also got up close and personal with a vast array of mini-beasts when Hands On Creatures visited recently.  The tamariki got to pat rats, geckos and turtles; let Avondale spiders creep up our arms; and watch as cave wētā and giant centipedes raced towards us on the floor. 🐢🦎🐛🕷
