News from Rm 1b

Amelia Le Cheminant —

In Rūma Kotahi (1b) we have been learning about Rongoā Māori. We have learnt about the many medicinal uses for kawakawa. The children have collected kawakawa leaves from our school bush area to make our very own healing balm. It is great for dry skin, grazes, itchy bites and it smells amazing! We were all so excited to take our own little jars home to share with our whānau. Here is the link to recipe we used, in case you want to try making it at home - Kawakawa Balm Recipe.
