This Handsome Bench Seat is the Result of our Students' and Community's Recycling Efforts!  

At last, we have received the prize for winning the Colgate Oral Waste competition last year. You may have seen the bench in the foyer. Its permanent place will be under a beautiful tree down near the senior adventure playground. It will be there for everyone to sit on and enjoy.

On Friday 10th March, Leigh a representative from Colgate, came to school to present the bench to us at a special assembly. We were also lucky to have two representatives from Terracycle attend. They came to take photos and speak to the students about the importance of recycling. They showed us products made from recycled waste and even had a dress that had been upcycled from an old tent. It was great for the children to hear that the bench we won had been made from the oral waste that they had collected last year.We are still collecting oral waste, and also old Glad products, and Suckies and Pouches. Please keep sending these waste products to school as this is a good fundraiser for our school.
