We are obliged by the Ministry of Education to report attendance at school via our Student Manager System.  If your child/children are going to be absent for any reason, please call the school office 817-5645 and leave a message, text the school mobile 027 499 8647, email attendance@kaurilands.school.nz or go through our website https://kaurilands.school.nz/report-absences and fill in the form.

Please ensure you leave your child's name, room number and reason for absence, ie sick, on holiday, at the Doctor/Dentist, bereavement etc.,  We must have a reason for the absence to ensure we code this correctly for the Ministry.

See below the codes the Ministry require from us to enter :

L   Student late for class

M  Student absent due to short-term illness/Medical reasons

D   Doctor/Dentist Appointment

G   Holiday during term time

J   Justified explanation with the school policy

E   Student is absent with an Explained but unjustified reason
