In Room 13, we have been writing some descriptive pieces of work.  We have been learning to use our senses to describe some of our favourite colours.  The tamariki had to think carefully about their chosen colour and think about all the things that it reminded them of. 

We had a great time brainstorming all of our ideas.

We hope that these poems create some beautiful images in your mind as you read them. 

Room 13 were also very excited to participate in their second Dig In session this week. The tamariki in the kitchen worked collaboratively to make Cheese and Herb Pinwheel scones, while the gardening team worked hard to dig soil, plant flowers and harvest some fresh vegetables! The smell from the kitchen was absolutely divine! All the tamariki and parents enjoyed eating the warm and cheesy scones after a busy morning :) They were such a treat, on such a cold and frosty morning. We appreciate our Dig In helpers, Sandra and Nancy for making this happen :)
