Principal's Message
Kia ora e te whānau
What absolutely amazing weather we have been fortunate enough to have booked in for our Year 4 camp! Our Year 4 team have just returned from a two day camp at Carey Park in Henderson Valley. Thank you to all our staff and parents who have helped with the running of this camp. We couldn't do it without you! Particular thanks to Erin for all her hard work, planning and organisation of this amazing experience.
Have a look at some of the pictures coming through below.
Thanks to those who came along to the Parenting Place presentation, 'Raising happy, confident and resilient kids' last night. I hope there was some helpful content and tools you were able to take away.
Coming up on Thursday 22nd September at 7pm we have another whānau presentation by a Netsafe Education Advisor on digital safety. This will include:
- some of the tools they can use and fallabilities of these tools
- thinking about their own sharing online
- the importance of privacy settings
- digital footprint
- how to start conversations with their children about the difficult topics
- The importance of setting boundaries and managing screentime
We warmly welcome all parents who are interested. Closer to the time we will send you a google doc to find out numbers.
A very warm welcome to our new secretary Trudi Biggs who joined our team this term. We are really enjoying working with Trudi. Our wonderful office team ( if you didn't already know!) consists of:
Jackie Amor - Business Manager
Anita Maxwell - Accounts Administrator
Trudi Biggs - Secretary
Rachel Tims - Reception and Attendance
Catalina Camargo - Sickbay
For any queries however big or small, please don't hesitate to come in and have a chat with one of our friendly staff!
Enjoy the sunshine and let's hope it hangs around for the weekend.
