Rūma Whitu gets ANIMATED!

Inquiry for Term 2 and the beginning of Term 3 has been an enjoyable experience in Rūma Whitu. Our focus has been on exploring various types of animation and delving into its fascinating history. As a culminating project, the class came together in groups and enthusiastically produced a diverse range of inventive and artful stop motion videos, utilising our class iPads.

Throughout the process we witnessed a vibrant display of creativity, including imaginative claymation, skillfully crafted drawn animation, animated LEGO scenes, collages brought to life and even an entertaining superhero saga featuring heroes made of glue sticks wearing masks! The class were enthusiastic about crafting backgrounds, designing unique characters, capturing footage, and recording bombastic soundtracks to complement their final animations.

I think we have some budding future blockbuster movie makers in our class!
