Kia ora e te whānau
And we're done! Thank you all for an amazing year at Kaurilands!
We farewell our beloved Year 6 children as they go on to the next stage at Intermediate. We are so proud of them all and the amazing people they are. Look out world, here comes the Class of 24!
We farewell four teachers who have worked with us this year - Nichola Leslie, moving to Birdwood School, Steve Gillard, moving to Kowhai Intermediate, Anna Jackson moving to Oratia and Hannah Pragert moving to Woodlands Park. Hannah has worked on and off at Kaurilands for many years and will be hugely missed here. Natalie Dalzell and Lucretia Samson, two of our wonderful teacher aides will also be leaving us. Thanks for the amazing job you have all done with our children. We will miss you all and wish you all well in your new roles.
A huge thanks to our fantastic Board of Trustees for the work they have undertaken this year. Kaurilands School is in incredibly capable hands! All of our trustees are extremely committed to the sound governance of our school and I appreciate the expertise and wisdom each member brings to the table.
To our hardworking Te Whānau Āwhina thank you for your never ending support with fundraising and organising events and activities for our community. You provide much needed funds for our school to allow us to complete many projects. We are hugely indebted to each of our members for the time and energy that goes into this mahi.
To our phenomenal staff, thank you all for being the amazing team you are! We have the most outstanding, generous, giving bunch of people working here. I need to particularly acknowledge the Senior Leadership team - Erin, Alana and Tracy on the outstanding job they do everyday. The effort they put in for all our children is truly inspiring.
Congratulations to all our Principal's Award winners from our end of term assembly today. Ka pai! We are so proud of you all!
I wish you all a very, very happy Christmas and holiday season. We are truly blessed to work in this incredible community. Thank you all for making this such an exceptional place to be every single day.
