Bilingual class - 'Nga Whetu Iti o Kauriraahi' - Little Stars of Kaurilands

Last Tuesday 20th February we opened our inaugural bilingual class. This was a very special event for us all led by our Kaumatua, Warahi Paki and Kuia, Linda Paki. 25 children have joined this one day programme which will run each Tuesday in 2024 under the guidance of Matua Grant O'Connor. 

All 25 of these children were accompanied by whānau for the pōwhiri to celebrate this occasion. We were also joined by representatives from the Ministry of Education who will guide and assist us with the development of this programme. Huge thanks to all those involved on the day. It was very special to celebrate that this day has finally come to Kaurilands.
