Rosa & Jarom go off to Japan in 2019
Four Kaurilands students were nominated by Kaurilands' senior teachers to be part of the selection process for the 2019 Asia-Pacific Children’s Convention in July in Japan. The Principal of GEIS, Mrs Stavert, a GEIS teacher and two students were interviewing all of the students who had been selected from different schools in our rohe. It was their job to select the final four children who would be travelling to Japan as Ambassadors of Auckland at the convention. The convention promotes world peace and global citizenship through cultural exchange. Out of sixteen students interviewed, two were chosen from Kaurilands! Jarom Rowell and Rosa Joiner will be heading to the APCC with two other students and a teacher from GEIS for two weeks. They will be with a host family for one week and at an amazing camp for the other week. They are both really excited about their adventure. Thanks to our wonderful school for helping grow such awesome kids!

Summer Reading for fun
Please return Library Books
As the school year draws to an end, our school library will be doing a stocktake of resources and library books. We would appreciate if students and parents could please have a look around the house, under beds and behind sofas to hunt out any school library books and return them to the school library before Friday 7th December. You’ll know it’s a Library book as it will have an ‘Kaurilands School’ barcode on the back and front page. Laura Turner laurat@kaurilands.school.nz School Librarian

Great news girls
These fabulous Year 6 girls competed in the Sound Movement Inter-School Dance Competition over the weekend and were amazing. They represented Kaurilands Primary and made their parents super proud. They performed their beautiful dance from the school 'kindness' performance evening and brought home a trophy to add to the school cabinet. Congratulations girls!
