A warm welcome back to Term 2. It has been very warm this week - I'm hoping for a nice southerly to blow through and bring us back some blue skies and less humidity! I think I could be waiting a little while!
A special welcome to our new Year 0 children in Room 18 along with their teacher Lauren Cookson. This class is already practically full and we will open Room 11 on the 22nd May. Paula Dron who has worked with us for several years as a part time teacher will be our Room 11 teacher. We have lots more children joining our school this year so when Room 11 is full we will add Rūma Kowhai to the Year 0/1 team!
As you will have noticed our Library is currently undergoing a weather tightness remediation and interior refurbishment project. Our team have temporarily created a modified Library in Rūma Kowhai for our school community which is pretty incredible. Our project is due to be completed by the end of this term and it will be exciting to see our refreshed Library space. Thank you all for your incredible efforts in fundraising for the Library through the Colour Run!
This term we have a number of trips and events happening including the very famous disco coming up on the Friday 16th June! Save the date!
