News from Rūma 22

For our Native Bird Inquiry, Rūma 22 went to the Arataki Visitor Centre where we explored the bush using our senses. We created a bespoke "bush perfume" with natural debris that we gathered, we were blindfolded and had to guess which tree we had felt, we used magnifying glasses to see nature up close and we tasted nectar from harakeke (flax) and we heard many manu (birds) along the way.
