Amped is a free music mentoring programme of workshops and all-ages
gigs, with tutors and guest artists from Dunedin's music community.
It's for high school students with some experience of performing solo
or in a group. Solo performers, bands or groups can take part.

The themes of the programme are auahatanga / creativity, mātauranga /
knowledge and hauora / wellbeing.

Applications are open now until Monday 2 August. Students can apply here:

This year they plan to run at least 4 weekends of workshops and gigs,
with follow-up sessions for participants who want to find or organise
more gigs of their own, or release their music.

The provisional dates are: Sat 7 August; Sat 14 / Sun 15 August, Sat
21 / Sun 22 August, Sat 28 / Sun 29 August, Sun 5 September.

Follow up sessions will take place on weekdays after school in
September, and in the October school holidays.
