The annual Dunedin Youth Jazz Competition takes place at the end of Week 1 next term.

Kavanagh's Jazz Band have been preparing early on Tuesday mornings since the beginning of term, conquering ice, darkness, broken legs, and it being Very Early in the Morning! There will be some extra rehearsals before the competition but they are sounding great and will put on an awesome show for the judges. Ms Watts is very proud of what they have accomplished so far!

An interesting point to note about the Kavanagh Jazz Band is that there has been a member of the Meikle family present in the Jazz Band every year for the past ten years! WOW!
