On Monday July, 5th Kavanagh proudly sent three teams to debate in the regional one day tournament hosted at Otago University Business School.

Debates were the classic schools 3 v 3 format. Preparation was b30 minutes, speeches were six minutes, and replies were three minutes. 

In all, we competed in nine debates, brought in two subs and did not forfeit a single round due to numbers. While we did not place in the final, we achieved what we set out to do: we showed up. A great result!
