Working Bee – Sunday October 18 starting at 2pm

PFA —

The PFA is running a Working Bee this Sunday to tidy the garden surrounding the Kavanagh College carpark on Rattray Street (opposite the main entrance to the school office).

This will also be a fundraiser for the PFA as the owners of the carpark are going to pay us for this work. All money raised by the PFA is used for projects and resources that benefit the students.

For the working bee we will need volunteers to help with the following activities:

· Weeding

· Trimming and shaping of shrubbery

· Removal of bushes (e.g. broom and gorse)

Please bring any gardening tools that you may have such as hand trowels, weeding tools, trimmers, loppers, secateurs, wheelbarrows, spades, rakes, outdoor brooms, ladders, garden sacks/wool bales and gardening gloves.

In addition, we will need a couple of trailers for transporting garden waste to the tip.

If you are keen to be involved in the working bee, then please email Rebecca Meikle (meiklerm@gmail.com). Students are also very welcome to come and help. Afternoon tea will be provided. Thanks for your support!
