Last Tuesday Year 10 students Daisy Jarvie, Abby Simpson, Sophie Golden, Ryleigh Makiiti, and Aya Oseki headed to Auckland for three and a half days competing in the NZ 3v3 Basketball Nationals.

Ten games later we were tired but very happy to find ourselves in 5th place in the Open Junior Girls’ grade. 

Some highlights of the trip were having the opportunity to play many different teams from all around the country, karaoke in the van, and Ryleigh’s buzzer beater! 

A huge thank you to Gerard and Liz for all your support in helping us have this amazing experience, Ryleigh’s hilarious whanau for their warm hospitality in Auckland, and Kyra for giving up your free time to be our amazing coach! 

Well done girls, it’s been awesome training and playing with you over the last year!
