Agribusiness Update

Jill Armstrong —

$2 Upcycling Challenge

This afternoon the students are visiting second-hand stores to purchase items suitable for upcycling. Each student has a $2 coin and is responsible for creating their own product. The existing knowledge and expertise amongst the students will, no doubt, ensure the items and garments are given a new lease of life. Items made from natural fibres are of particular interest eg. wool and cotton. This fun activity is stage one in creating an innovative and sustainable business model. Watch this space!

Upcoming Field Trip - Next week the class is visiting a range of agribusinesses and the University of Otago.
