This year the Otago Secondary School Triathlon was run on the Challenge Wanaka course

Our team of Erika Fairweather, Madi Sutherland and Holly Uluakiola competed in the Senior Girls Team category. 

The conditions weren't the best with some very strong winds - the lake looked more like an ocean - but Erika powered on through. Madi then took off for the 15km bike towards Glendhu Bay and back. Holly was the runner who took off with a very determined look on her face and finished strong with a team time of 1:01:33 and placed 4th in their category. 

It was a great day out with all competitors receiving a medal, t-shirt and a bag of goodies.
