ENVIRO WEEK

Nina O'Callaghan —

The time has finally come around, so get excited. The Kavanagh Enviro Week is officially beginning next week on Monday the 19th and stretching out across the week until Friday the 23rd.

The Enviro Council have been planning this event for most of the year and are using this week to introduce and show-off Kavanagh’s new bin system which means that Kavanagh will now be able to recycle, compost and become more sustainable in years to come.

The enviro week includes fun activities such as designing a mural competition, having enviro related lessons and gardening workshops. Other exciting activities available are: a beeswax wraps workshop to be held on Thursday the 22nd after school and a clothing swap to commence on Friday the 23rd at lunchtime as well as a sustainable mufti day on that day. The junior envirogroup will be on after school on Tuesday and new members are always welcome to come along to that too.

We hope that during this week, the students of Kavanagh College will learn to become more environmentally friendly.
