Kavanagh Day is the College’s Feast Day when the whole school gathers together to celebrate our unity and our diversity. Students are able to wear House Colours to school.

This weekend, Kavanagh College is competing in the annual Bishop's Shield Speech and Drama competition between the Southern Region's Catholic Secondary Schools - St Kevin's College (Oamaru), Kavanagh College, St Peter's College (Gore) and Verdon College (Invercargill).

Week 3

Sixteen students, two teachers and the expedition leader from Antipodeans Abroad have shared the adventure of a lifetime in India.

The wonderful Anna in the Bursar's office has them available to buy for a very reasonable $6.

Music Squad were honoured to again be part of the wonderful Mass for St Dominic held at Holy Name last Friday.

Tutoring in English, Maths and Science is on a Wednesday between 2.10-4.00pm in B2.1

For the second year in a row Kavanagh College has a finalist in the New Zealand Spelling Bee competition.

Payment of NCEA fees for Years 11, 12 and 13 is due by Monday 13 August 2018

Every year at Kavanagh College we publish a yearbook/magazine, recording the history and achievements of our school year. Our twenty-ninth magazine will again be a quality publication, with glossy pages set in laser print. The 2017 full colour version can be seen on the school website.

New Zealand Curling has just named their National Curling Teams for the 2018/2019 season, with Jayden Apuwai-Bishop named in the Men's U21 Team to compete in Finland in early January 2019.

On Monday we had Roberta and Graham from Eclipse Cheerleading run a free session for Kavanagh students.

Attention Year 8 Parents

We have managed to get a Basketball and Netball hoop put in the Year 7 and 8 area. They look great and are already being used by the junior school. Get out there and try them out!!

The Senior Sports awards are being held on Wednesday 24th October for all Year 11-13 students, the second week back in Term 4.
