Kia ora e te whānau What an amazing Cross Country afternoon we had this week ! The sun was shining and our Khandallah Stars ran with such energy and excitement.
Thank you to all our whānau who were able to come out and celebrate with us, lots of proud moments for many. Congratulations to the team who made it now into the next Cross Country event for our region.
A big thank you to our extended whanau for your support this term and we look forward to engaging with you all next term. We have some exciting events planned.
Staff News:
Heather- (Kauri Team Leader) is leaving at the end of week 1 next term to take on a new challenge outside of teaching. A big thank you to Heather for all the mahi she has done in the school over the last 5 years. Heather has been a strong leader and teacher of Kāka Hub ( Year 4) and Kauri Team ( Year 5&6 ) and will be missed by staff and tamariki.
Amy is to take up the Team Leader position in Kauri and return to teaching in year 5&6 where she has had many years experience. Karen and Annabel will be team teaching together in Kowhai with Elise to replace Amy. Thank you team for your flexibility. We are lucky to have such skilled staff at Khandallah.
Kore - (Teacher Aide) is leaving Khandallah School and taking time to visit her elderly mother in the UK and travel overseas with family. Safe travels and thank you for all you have done for Khandallah school tamariki.
Katie - Congratulations to Katie who is having her first baby in August and will be taking maternity leave from the end of Term 2.
I would like to thank all of our Khandallah Staff for all their mahi this term. It has been a busy 10 weeks and we are all looking forward to a restful break.
Reminder: Term 2 for our tamariki will not start till Wednesday April 26th as Monday April 24th is a Teacher Only Day for staff.
I would like to wish you all a fabulous Easter break, travel safely if you are going on holiday somewhere else and we look forward to seeing all our lovely smiling faces back for Term 2.
