Principal's Pen
Kia ora whanau. These Khandallah students were very excited and so lucky to have Jacinda Ardern take time to come over and talk to them when they visited Parliament this week. The senior hub have all had a guided tour this term and have really enjoyed getting to understand how the NZ Government is run.
This year's Talent Quest was completed in school houses with each house putting forward their top 2 items. Geoff and myself were the official judges at our school assembly where these students were awarded with winning certificates.
1st Samah Lanka - amazing violin playing and hula hoop skills
2nd Samuel Yuan - talented piano performance
3rd= Eden Lipscombe - incredible gymnastic display
Emmy Andrew & Kripa Bhatt - clever singing/dancing duo
A big congratulations to all the finalists, it really is a big achievement to stand up and perform in front of the whole school.
Our Year 5 & 6 students have been really busy this week with their Enterprise Inquiry. This week they have been finishing their final products to put on sale and fill their online booking requirements. It's great to see the teams collaborate together through the process. Lots of life skills are learned, staying within budgets, proto-typing, marketing their product and making sure the customer is happy with the final product.
I hope everyone has a great weekend with only a few weeks to go now as we roll into December next week.
