Kia ora koutou. Welcome back everyone. Week 1 has certainly been very busy.

Swimming and Pedal Ready has started for Kauri hubs with students very excited and engaged in these fun learning experiences at school.

Matai hubs have enjoyed their trip to the Island Bay Marine centre. I loved watching their faces as they got to hold all the amazing sea creatures in the touching pools. We certainly were lucky with the weather. Thank you to all the parents who supported this trip.

Kowhai playground has been prepared for their new turf over the holiday break and the shade cloth poles have been installed. The astro turf is due to commence first on the senior courts on May 17th followed by the Kowhai and Matai areas.

We would like to welcome the Hawkins Contracting team who have worked hard over the last few weeks to tidy up our grounds and will be our new property managers.

Today we had a very successful cross country event. Well done to everyone who participated and completed the track and a special congratulations to our winners and students who have made the team to compete in the Regional Cross Country later this term.

We farewell Holly today and wish her all the best for her new teaching placement at Westmere School in Auckland. Holly’s enthusiasm and love of cooking and sport will be missed.
