This term Khandallah school has been working on a range of different areas of the arts curriculum.

Kaka had a fantastic day on Monday. They enjoyed playing a variety of games including Floorball, Ki-o-Rahi and Dodgeball.

Introducing our new house sports captains! They are in charge of running house sports and games at lunch times.

Khandallah School had 10 runners going to represent the school at the Interzone Cross Country event, that still managed to go ahead despite Covid Restrictions!

Last week we had our first House Games at lunch time! First up we had Matai playing Rob the nest in their house teams. Each child that participated earned themselves a house point. We were very impressed with the turn out. Thanks to the house sports leaders for running this. This week we have Kaka!

Despite being cut short due to Covid lockdown the bookfair still managed to sell just over $3000 worth of books which will earn enough commission to buy some nice new shelving for the Senior Fiction books. Thank you to everyone who supported us and to the student librarians who had a great time turning us into a jungle.

During our Space inquiry, Matai has found black holes to be particularly interesting since nobody knows what is inside them. We wrote about what we already know and did some imagining about what we think might be inside a black hole.

The Kids’ Kaukau Challenge is a 4.6km kids’ fun run/walk/skip/dance up to the summit of Mt Kaukau, followed by a family fun celebration back on the school grounds.
