Player Profile this week is Joel Cook

King's 1st Touch Profile – Know your team!

This week's profile is Year 12 Student Joel Cook. A player driven to win, Joel has matured as an aggressor, picking his moments to help his team-mates. The local St Clair boy played out of the Southern Rugby Club as a junior before his entry into the Den. Joel is another cross code talent, featuring as a regular in the 1st XV in 2022, and he will be pushing again for another opportunity in his favourite winter code – Rugby Union. Whilst we are on the topic of pushing, Joel loves ‘throwing tin’ around in the local gym, just to get a little bit of edge on his opponents. Word has it – Chest day, is one of his favourites! Joel is a seasoned provincial age-grade Touch player who is one of our deceptive attackers for 2023.
