Geography trip to the New Dunedin Hospital

Shaun Thomson —

On Thursday the 18th of August, two Year 10 Geography classes went to the site of the New Dunedin Hospital, to learn more about the build for our research project. The boys talked to many specialists involved with the project, including Raymond Clark, who is one of the Operations Managers. This way the boys could better understand how the new hospital was planned and built.

After learning about the new hospital, we went out into the public to conduct surveys on what people thought of the hospital project. The survey information for this would be used for the upcoming research project. In groups of two and three, we approached members of the Dunedin public to ask for their thoughts and opinions on the New Dunedin Hospital and what they wanted to be included in the project.

After the trip the boys were treated for their hard work over the year, and they all went to McDonald's. The boys enjoyed the trip, especially the onsite part of the trip where they learned many new facts about the build.
