Recently eight players from the King's Handball Team - the Honey Badgers - traveled to Christchurch to represent Otago in a Junior Handball Development Tournament. This took place at Cashmere High School in Christchurch. The team played well but lost three games out of five.

A particular highlight was when they challenged Cashmere High School, the result was close but they lost 9-11. This was impressive because they were on the wrong side of a 5-16 thrashing only a month before.
