Senior music students performing well above required level
SENIOR MUSIC PERFORMANCES
The first of this year’s NCEA Music ‘Solo Performances’ took place in the Performing Arts Centre on Wednesday.
Students taking Music or Music Technology at Levels 1, 2 and 3 gave the first of two solo performances in front of a small audience, as required to gain the achievement standards.
Mr Harington, Ms Dryden and student teacher, Mr Rickard, were impressed by many of the performances, some students performing well above the required level.
For the remainder of the term senior music students will focus on performing as a member of a group, with the second of the solo performances scheduled for later in Term 3.
