National Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (Level 4)

This opportunity will be based in Dunedin working towards a National Certificate in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (Level 4) qualification.

The apprenticeship is fully funded, so there is no student loan to pay back, and the apprentices are in paid employment with pay increases as they achieve set goals in their apprenticeship. Active Refrigeration is committed to a drug free workplace and drug testing will be part of the application process.

Each apprentice is supplied with all their PPE and training to work safely, as well as a work phone and tablet. The apprenticeship consists of on the job learning, e-learning and block courses that make up the pathway to completion.

They will become part of a leading team of qualified engineers that interact with NZ’s biggest industrial primary industries, such as; Fonterra, McCain, Sanford, DB, Lion, Alliance, Silver Fern Farms, Talley’s and Coolpak, just to name a few.

We are looking for people who are:

• 17 years of age or older
• Have a current driver’s licence (can be at restricted level)
• Curious
• Good communicators
• Physically and mentally fit
• Able to work as part of a team
• Willing to learn and enjoy hard work
• Interested in practical engineering tasks and have high maths and reading skills
• Looking for a career with variety and enjoy being out and about everyday (not one day is the same as the next)
• Able to listen and think and make good decisions and have a positive mindset
• Conscious about keeping yourself safe in a workplace.
