While the Year 10s are on Camp our Year 9 students have been taking part in a special programme where they experienced nine different activities in three days and went on a field trip to Ōtākou Marae on day four.

The activities included; a leadership session with the Malcam Trust, a Visual Art treasure hunt, creating Christmas cards and art works in Languages, Drama performances, Christmas baking, a poetry competition and more.

On the forth day, the students went on a field trip to Ōtākou Marae; Mr Hensman has written a seperate article about this in today's edition.

This is always a great way to end the year as students get to experience school subjects in a way they may not have encountered before. Thank you to staff and organisers and to the students for their enthusiasm.
