Mr Dejan Blagojevity started this week in the Digital Technology Department. He and his wife arrived last week from the UK so he is new to the school, the city and the country! A warm welcome to King's and the wider community.

In his own words

I taught Digital Technology throughout the last decade in various countries including UK and Serbia. At some point in 2022 we decided, my wife and I, to embark on a new adventure. New Zealand here we come. After careful planning and excruciating anticipation, we finally arrived at Dunedin Airport to be warmly welcomed by our wonderful Rector, Mr McIvor and my new HOD Mr L Smith.

In terms of my subject matter why did I pick Digital Technology (DT)? 

DT it is a creative endeavour for both students and teachers alike. The subject is infused with problem solving and our brains are naturally wired to utilise it. Unlocking this potential is extremely rewarding to witness. While the difficult takes time, the impossible just takes a little longer. 

That’s one of the many reasons I appreciate my subject as it teaches resilience and develops the so called can-do attitude which is a highly transferrable skill to other subjects and areas of life.
