Successful Year 7 and 8 Rugby Enrichment Evening
Last Friday 35 boys from seven schools and eight clubs in Dunedin came for the Rugby Enrichment Evening. Schools represented were Fairfield, Tahuna, Balmacewen, Carisbrook, Bathgate, Taieri College and Dunedin North Intermediate; and the clubs were Zingari, Pirates, Green Island, Southern, Taieri, Alambra, Dunedin and Kaikorai .
The evening started in the school Library with a welcome and presentation by King's Director of Sport Glenn Dickson.
The rest of the time was spent out on the field where King's 1st XV Rugby coaches, team members and guest coaches took the boys through warm-up activities, Rugby development skills, finishing with a game. It was an opportunity for the boys to learn more about the game and develop their skills alongside our 1st XV players. The evening finished with pizza and drinks.
