Old Boy, Cameron Wilkie returns to school for the day.

Duncan McLean —

Since leaving school in the 1990’s Cameron has managed some of the world’s highest profile restaurants in Dubai, Australia and the UK.

He told the boys that he now has combined his two passions in life: food and gaming. He now works for Imperium Games, one of the world’s largest game developers, as the person in charge of their hospitality. The company have crowd funded in excess of $US 100 million for the creation of the game “Star Citizen”.

Cameron spoke to the boys about how hospitality could take their careers to unexpected places, just as it has for him. He also cooked one of his favourite and quick home cooked pasta dishes with Mr McLean’s Year 12 Food and Nutrition classes. The boys were more than a little impressed that he had done business with Gordon Ramsay, among other big names of the UK culinary scene.
