We have been advised by the PPTA that on Friday 8th June there will be a city-wide Paid Union Meeting (PUM) for all Secondary School teachers at 1.30pm which means that school will close at 12.55pm.

I do want to emphasise that your son will have 4 timetabled classes, starting at 8.45am, missing just one period of instruction in the afternoon.

The bus companies have indicated that some services will run early to accommodate the early finish, however, others will remain at their usual times.

Buses that will be leaving from King’s/Queen’s early from 1pm will be:

· Hills Suburbs Bus (Ritchies)

· Green Island Bus (Otago Roads Services)

· Green Island/Brighton Bus (Otago Roads Services)

· Fairfield /Sunnyvale  Bus (Otago Roads Services)

Non-union members of staff will be stationed in the school library to supervise students between 1.55pm and 3pm.
