Roadkill at Rockquest

Kaine Harington —

The Smokefree Rockquest Regional Finals were held on June 16th, and King's was proudly represented by Roadkill.

Performing to a packed out crowd at the Mayfair, the metal quartet of Nikhil Rawat, Aidan Blair, Luca Macnee and Blake Hughes put on an impressive show.

The boys played a two song set of original songs that they had crafted throughout the term and – judging from the sound of the audience – their hard work paid off.

Luca Macnee (lead guitar) was awarded the prize for Best Musician at the prizegiving, with the judges obviously blown away by his blistering guitar solo and tidy lead playing. While the band put on a performance they can really be proud of, they were not selected to move through to the next part of the competition.

We congratulate Roadkill for their efforts throughout the competition and can't wait to hear more from them soon.
