Congratulations to the boys who competed at the NZSS Cross Country Champs held over the weekend on the Ascot Golf course circuit in Christchurch.

Some of the results were:

Drew Cairney finished in 14th place in the Senior Boys' 6000m individual race out of 205 competitors. A great effort in his first year in the Senior Grade.

George Bates, finished a very creditable 12th in the Junior Boys' 4000m out of 145 competitors. George had pretty limited preparation due to injury.

The Senior three man team comprising Drew Cairney, Zach Mason and Malachi Buschl finished in 8th place overall.

The Senior six man team of Drew Cairney,  Zach Mason, Malachi Buschl, Finn Ward, Daniel Dickie & Matthew McCutcheon also finished in 6th place overall.

Well done to all the other boys who competed over the weekend in a very tough competition . Big thanks to Mr Koedyk and support crew for supporting and organising the group.
