News from the Science Department
Read below to find out what's been going on in the Science Department so far this year and what to look out for in the future.
The year has started off well with three of our students attending the ‘Hands on Otago’ programme at the University of Otago in January. Liam Hewson has written an article about his experience that appears in this week's edition of Kingsweek.
The scholarship programme proved successful with students gaining four in Chemistry, with one Outstanding, and four in Physics. Congratulations to all of our boys who received scholarships, your hard work was rewarded.
2017 will be busy in the Science Department. In March Liam Hewson will be taking the Biology Olympiad Exam, with the hope of being selected for the Olympiad Camp. We also have 10 Year 11 students competing in the first round of the New Zealand Brain Bee Competition; Hamish Cadzow, Arlo Munro, Paddy Borthwick, Andrew Whitehead, Corey Symon, Joshua Rademeyer, J-D Rademeyer, Jak Waters, and Ethan Sieroczuk.
